Valentine’s Day Bliss Balls
These bliss balls are perfect as not only free of sugar, dairy, and gluten but also infused with warm spices for a cozy and romantic touch on Valentine’s Day (or any time of the year! A great little recovery snack post exercise too… ;).
Ingredients:
- 100 gm almond flour
- 60 gm coconut flour
- 60 gm melted coconut oil
- 55 gm almond butter
- 60 gm unsweetened shredded coconut
- 60 gm cup cacao powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon stevia powder (more or less to taste)
Method
- In a large mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, melted coconut oil, almond butter, stevia and shredded coconut. Mix well until a dough-like consistency forms.
- Add cacao powder, vanilla extract, cinnamon, cardamom, and sea salt to the mixture. Continue mixing until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more stevia.
- Once the mixture is well combined, refrigerate for about 30 minutes to make it easier to handle.
- After refrigeration, roll the mixture into bite-sized balls using your hands.
- Optionally, roll the bliss balls in additional shredded coconut or cacao powder for a decorative touch.
- Place the bliss balls back in the refrigerator for at least an hour to firm up.
- Serve and enjoy these gorgeous, guilt-free Valentine’s Day Bliss Balls with your loved ones!
PS: I like to freeze mine and eat them straight out of the freezer!
You’re welcome 💝
