Detoxing & Delicious Green Smoothie

I serve this green smoothie for breakfast on my detox retreats and it always goes down a treat! 🙂

Green smoothies are a tasty, easy and quick way to get lots of nutrients in a glass, when time is short for making breakfast, or as a nutritious, filling snack any time of day.
This one particularly features ingredients that will give you nutrients to keep you fuller for longer.    Best to soak any seeds overnight or half an hour before for the chia seeds.

Ingredients:

150ml unsweetened nut or coconut milk (put less or more depending on how thick you prefer it)

1 handful of kale

1 handful of berries

1 banana (optional)

½ avocado or 1 tbsp coconut oil

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 tbsp pumpkin seeds

½ lemon squeezed

½ tsp cinnamon

1 tsp raw honey (optional)

a piece of fresh ginger to taste (optional)

1 tsp green powder of your choice (spirulina/chlorella/wheatgrass)

Method

Blend and enjoy!

Sip slowly and ‘chew’ as this is a meal in itself!.
