Has the long and cold winter sapped your energy? Feeling desperate for a boost to spring back into your ‘old’ self? Here’s some advice to help you regain some vitality and vibe:
- Make sure you’re hydrated at all times! Slowly sipping through your 2 litres of water every day will ensure that the central heating isn’t shriveling up those lovely brain cells. And teas and coffees don’t ‘count’! They’re diuretic and will make you ‘spend’ all that precious moisture.
- Fill up with multi-coloured (natural) foods and green leafy vegetables brimming with mood-lifting chlorophyll, vitamins and minerals that will make you feel vibrant. Be adventurous and include seaweeds, spirulina, chlorella, barley or wheat grass powders into your daily diet: they’re packed-full of energy-giving chlorophyll and vital minerals.
- Replace all cement-like nutrient-poor ‘white goods’ (white bread, pasta, rice, sugar) with fantastic mineral and fiber-rich wholegrain – great for long-lasting energy and for your waistline.
- Eat little and often rather than three big meals a day and include a little protein with each meal. Great for reducing sugar cravings and energy dips. Include vegetarian protein like raw nuts + seeds which are also rich in good fats – essential for sparkly brain power!
Here’s to a glowing new you!
