My top ‘cleansing’, energising recovery drink
200-400ml of warm water
2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp freshly grated or ground ginger
¼ tsp cinnamon
A pinch of black pepper (to activate the turmeric, so not optional)
1 tsp raw unpasteurised honey
Mix the turmeric, pepper, cinnamon, ginger and honey together first. Then add the water and the other ingredients and sip at your preferred temperature.
Drink about 15 minutes before each meal or at least once a day (before breakfast) and you can continue for 15 to 20 days for a deeper cleanse.
Omit the apple cider vinegar if you suffer from candida and feel worse with vinegars or fermented foods.
